Escurial is a zoo and a flowerpark in the northern Finland near Oulu. The best way of getting to Escurial is with your own car. If you come from Oulu drive south road E75 (E4) about 25 km and turn right to the road 8. After 10 km turn left to the road 86 and drive it about 8 km and you should see some big signs which indicate where to turn next. If you are coming at road E75 (E4) from south to north you should use the same route even it is a bit longer than the obvious route. |

| From Escurial zoo you will find
almost 300 animals. We have lots of common pets and also many exotic animals.
Every year zoo gets lot of new animals. 2001 special animals were emus
and nandus. Big "ostrich-like" birs which are very popular animals when
running around the meadow of Escurial. Year 2002 brought two new animals
from Lapland. Escurial zoo got its first two reindeers in may.

| Escurial has also lots of other services to offer. The big area of zoo contains several houses to spend your night. Imagine sleeping in the middle of a beautiful park where you can hear the sounds of nature and see the animals and the flowers and the trees in the land of a midnight sun. | Escurial opens its doors every May when the weather is warn enough to release animals to outer cages. Zoo is open everyday from 10 am to 8 pm. In the end of September zoo closes for winter. Accommodation services are open around year. A normal night in Escurial includes linens, ticket to zoo, a sauna, a shower and possibility to swim in a lake. |

| Take a day off and come to enjoy in zoo Escurial. First drink coffee in a castle of Escurial and then take a tour in a park. After that you can start to barbeque in one of the many excellent fireplaces of zoo. Sauna gets warm at the sametime and it's time bath and swim. | |||||||||||
